Last thoughts on Web 2.0
Finally done....I am not very computer savvy but I tried and figured it all out. Some of these things I never heard of before like Twitter, Wikis, Google docs. I am glad that you brought this Web 2.0 project to us I learned so much from this experience. I was glad that we were able to do the activities from home since there I had more time to explore. I enjoyed joining Facebook I have been in contact with many old school friends I Love it!
Craigslist
My husband and I were looking for a truck (Dodge Dakota) we looked on many different sites Craigslist was one of them. The link below is one of them that we had gone on to check out to see what they had if any. It did not have what we were looking for so we kept trying other sites.

Google docs
I would have to work with Google docs a little longer to see how I really like it. I am really use to using Word but change is always good. I am sure that it is very helpful for people with busy calenders. I think that being able to send a document out to all of the people that would be attending a meeting so they can add things to be discussed is a great part of this tool.
Wiki what is that
I found Wikis very interesting, I didn't even know what one was until now. Really liked Book lovers Wiki I like that I can get the opinion of others of a book before I read it. I think that our Patrons will find Wikis helpful as well. The different Library Wikis were very easy to navigate.
New feeds
I tried all three sites for finding new feeds and I like Google Reader the best. I was able to just put in a topic and it searched and brought up many different sites.
Discovering Feeds on our Catalog and Website
I think Patrons will find the feeds on our catalog and website helpful. They can just click on a feed for the weather or go to a feed to see about different programs at the Library. I went back onto Google Reader and subscribed to Weather.com for the local weather.
Google Reader
I created an account on Google Reader I think this is a great site. I subscribed to a few different feeds such as People to get the latest gossip, MSNBC for the news and a Greatful Dead feed for my husband the Deadhead. The Teen Google account was interesting as well.
Suffolk Wave
I went onto Suffolk Wave and downloading music it was called Yoga by Lagoon West. The music was very relaxing and I enjoyed it very much. The process of Suffolk Wave was easy and I think it is great because you can download books or music instead of waiting for them to come into the Library for you to pick up.

Looking through Flickr
While looking through Flickr I came across this picture of Forget Me Nots and they reminded me of how much my daughter Hilary loves them. They really are a beautiful flower just like my daughter.

A YouTube Journey
I chose this video because I have heard that using a crock pot is great for cooking so I wanted to see how it was used and get some recipes.
object width="425" height="344">
I like YouTube because you can watch just about anything, a missed show on TV, a music video to check out some great tunes or just something someone caught happening on video.

Library thing
I like the Library thing because Patrons can tag what they think the book is really about using simple common words. I created an account and posted 3 different books.
Delicious
I think Delicious is a good networking and organizational tool. You can access it from different computers and learn about other interests of co-workers and friends.
Facebook and MySpace
Today I went onto Myspace and Facebook. Facebook has 164 fans and I noticed that on MySpace and MySpace Teen there were similar things. On both pages you could access Text a Librarian and Search the Catalog. I like the social networking I have come in contact with many friends from High School.
